Práca sa zaoberá environmentálnou problematikou a činnosťou Európskej únie v tejto sfére. Hlavným cieľom je charakteristika a analýza využívaných environmentálnych nástrojov a ich efektivita v konkrétnych situáciách. Predstavuje čitateľovi environmentálnu daňovú reformu, ktorá bola začiatkom roku 2008 zavedená do praxe už i v Českej republike. Súčasne sa pokúša načrtnúť možný vývoj situácie na trhu emisných povolení po odstúpení Spojených štátov amerických od Kjótskeho protokolu. Pre vytvorenie lepšieho obrazu o diskutovanej problematike je samostatná kapitola venovaná popisu životného prostredia a zdrojom znečistenia. K základným informáciám o aktuálnom stave je pridaný aj prehľad histórie environmentálnej politiky, najdôležitejších medzinárodných zmlúv a dohôd, vrátene ich základných princípov a zásad.
This work is focusing on environmental problamatic and on activities of EuropeanUnion in this area. The main purpose of this work is to charachterize any analyze the mostimportant environmental tools, that are beeing used, and their effectivity in specificsituations. In also presents the environmental tax reform, which has been, in the begining ofthe year 2008, put into praxis also in the Czech Republic: together with it, this work istrying to show the possible progress of the situation on the emissionpermit market, after the United States have been withdrawn from the Kyoto Protocol. In order to create a better picture of the given problematic, a separate chapter isdedicated to tde description of the world environment factors of pollution. The basicinformation about the actual situation is completed with an historical overview of theenvironmental policy and with the most important international contracts and agreements, including their principles.
